Tell us a true story that proves it really is a small world after all.
Submitted by havybeaks.Wayd and I had been in Cali for a little over a year. I was attending college and had just gotten out of one of my classes. I got in my car and while I was waiting for the air to cool down I started going through my cds for something to listen to. Needless to say I wasn't paying attention, so when there was a knock on the passenger's side window I nearly wet myself. It happened to be a high school student and he asked me if I could take him home. It was extremely hot outside and I felt sorry for him having to walk so I told him I would. On the way we started talking and it turned out he'd just moved to Cali from Florida. I told him where I was from wasn't very far from there and he asked where. I named the town and he was like, no way. Then he started naming some people and asking if I knew them, etc. It was crazy. Turns out he spent time there because his cousin is from the same town as I. Also turned out that I knew some of his family. lol.
i'm testing out the cross posting to livejournal. apparently i won't be able to cross post private entries though. >.<
The thunder is finally starting to die down after an hour of loud rumbling that vibrated the ground. I was hoping to take a bath before church tonight, but I'm one of those people who won't go anywhere near water when it's lightning, so I'm really glad the dark clouds are moving away now!
I slept in this morning and my parents stopped by on their way home [from church]. I went to my grandparents house with them and ate lunch. My little brother, who by the way is taller than I, brought me back home around 2 o'clock. Since then I started working on an image for my profile. Finished it a little while ago and have it posted, so check it out if you want. Humm.. I haven't been gone to church in three Sundays now, with the exception of my Wednesday night classes that is, because I've been sleeping in. I just can't seem to get enough sleep lately. I'm really beginning to think that something might be wrong. I can't remember if I mentioned it in my last post, but I started taking vitamins Friday. B-6, B-12 and folic acid. It's been over a year since I've taken vitamins, so maybe that's part of the problem, idk. I have slight heart problems (due to two murmurs) and heart palpitations... I've been told that tiredness can sometimes be caused by your heart... that scares me. I also have a feeling I'm low on iron again. I think it might be time to go in and have some blood work done. >.<
I've been having "break through" bleeding for about three weeks now. I say break through because I just looked up the side effects of Jolessa, the generic Seasonique pills that I'm taking, and that's how it's defined. Only it's basically I've been on my period every day since I hit week 4. I'm now one pill shy of week 7. I called during the 5th week and spoke with a nurse since I was still bleeding. The bleeding wasn't all though. I was having major mood problems, I'm talking beyond PMS. I would just all of a sudden feel like going into a rage. I was barely able to control myself. She told me to call back if it continued. I got aggravated, but got over it. I mean, I'm sure they get people calling all the time about stupid stuff and all, but what really annoyed me was that she didn't pull up my file or anything. She didn't know me from Adam, and has no clue what problems I already have, ya know. Anyway, I've been feeling nausous at night lately and it's keeping me from sleeping. I've been stocked up on cola to try and settle my stomach when this happens, but it's not working well. So, since I couldn't sleep due to this horrible sick feeling I decided to look up the pills to just see if they could be causing that as well. Lo' and behold it's actually a common side effect. I'll be calling the doctor's office Monday. I want off of these pills. I tried to explain to these people that I've never been able to take birth control pills. Doctors have put me on tons of them and I always get really sick and stuff, my mom seemed to have the same problem as well....I have enough period problems without having to be stuck with having a period everyday for this long!! It's bad enough that I was on my last actual period for 21 days. Know what they told me about that? Oh people with PCOS either don't have a period or have a longer one. Well folks, that was the first long period I've ever had in my life. I've gone months and months without a period, but until then I'd never gone longer than 5-7 days!
Do you know any war veterans?
Submitted by Fightin' 6th Marines.yes, i know many war veterans.
My faternal grandfather was a green beret in Vietnam; my step-faternal grandfather was also in Vietnam.
Wayd's grandfather was in World War 2. He was actually on Normandy and was in Hilter's room when they got the call about him. He still has some things that belonged to one of his right hand men (from the time they were being held for war crimes).. he's the dude that commited suicide by taking pills or something. Can't remember his name.

There wasn't one this week. :( I decided to take one that I hadn't done yet though and post it. Enjoy.
[01] What's the worst thing you have to clean in your home?
Normally I would say toilets being as they're just pretty yucky, but I'm actually going to have to go with tubs and showers. We share a well with my in-laws and had to run our water line under the horses field. The mineral deposits that sometimes line the inside of the pvc pipe actually come out in our water from time to time - like when the horses decide to gallop (doesn't happen a whole lot thank goodness) or when it rains really hard. When that happens it creates nasty orange rings in the tubs and streaks in the showers. It's probably the hardest thing in the world to clean. Sometimes all the scrubbing in the world doesn't even work well. :/
[02] Do you recycle? If so what?
I'm aweful, I don't. When we lived in California we had a separate bin for recycling and we filled it up every week. I know if we had something like that here I'd do it again, I suppose I'm just extremely lazy and don't take the time to separate things besides I wouldn't really know where to take recyclables around here. Lame excuse I know, but it's true.
[03] Are you a shower in the morning person or shower in the evening person?
I'm a morning shower + evening bath person. I don't like going to bed dirty and I can't stand waking up and feeling oily.
[04] How often do you clean?
My house? Whenever I feel like it needs it. I tried to do really good deep cleaning every few weeks, but it doesn't always work that way although I spot clean every day.
[05]Show us something that needs cleaning.
The water in this koi pond is now slimy green, it needs cleaning help bad. (It's my mother-in-law's pond)
The pills my doctor put me on aren't working. Joy. Which means that I have to give the office a call Tuesday and they'll more than likely schedule me for a pelvic ultra sound - yuck. I've been trying to do some research to see about the possiblities of having only my ovaries removed and keeping my uterus. It can be done apparently. I've also been trying to find out if it is at all possible to be pregnant without your ovaries. I know it can be done with only one ovary, however I'm not quite sure if it's possible without both. If it was though it's something I would really like to dig into and find out more about. If that was the case I could have some eggs frozen then we could try ... something..? I'm not sure, I guess I'm just reaching... We still don't know where Wayd stands and he refuses to get checked because he's not comfortable with doing "that". It breaks my heart. I would like to know where we stand as far as all options go, but if he won't get his guys checked then we've hit a dead end... I'm banging my head up against a wall or at least it feels that way. My prayers and time with God are keeping me peaceful and sane when I would otherwise fall apart.
I'm about to be starting a new job. Part time, but better pay. In the meantime I'm studing for an exam for a job I'll be applying for in a few months. There's a waiting time to take the test then you have to wait for the results and after you find out if you passed or not you have to wait accourding to their waiting period, I don't know exactly how long that is. You have to make a 90 or above to get the job. Starting pay is between 13.21 and 32.50 depending on which position and how well of a grade you make on your exam. Needless to say I'll be at this new job I'm about to start for a good while before I even know anything about this other job. No worries though. As for our house, I have one bedroom very close to begin done with. Then all we have to do is lay the floor and faux it. The bathroom is also not far from being done, farther than the room I'm working on, but still it won't be long and I'll be able to start painting it!! While they're still finishing up on it though I'm going to being on the kitchen and dinning area. I can't believe how quickly everything is coming along now. We've have several people come look at the house we're selling (the one we're still living in at the moment), but so far we haven't sold it yet. It will happen though, I have faith. :) Oh, btw, I made a new banner and put it up.
